PETER TRAPPEN - FREQUENT SEA
THE INSIDE TRACK : September, 2001
Frequent Sea Cover ImagePeter Trappen, lead singer/guitarist for South Florida's popular, vintage garage rock band The White Owls, has released a solo CD entitled 'Frequent Sea'. Ten original songs connected by a conceptual storyline. Be sure to see the inside cover for the story.

WHAT MAKES THIS CD SPECIAL is the fact that Peter wrote each song, performed each part and produced the CD over a 3-year period in his home-studio. This project marks another milestone for Peter in that he has formed the Umpteen Music publishing company in affiliation with BMI.

Raised in a sleepy Mid-Michigan town during the '60s, he inherited the repertoire of a generation and has played professionally for over 20 years. With his first guitar at the age of 8, Peter has a guitar style similar to Mark Knopfler & Eric Clapton. Able to sing three octaves, his distinctive voice has been compared to singers Bob Seger and Jim Morrison.

"Trappen pulls off the trick of making his material sound familiar, without sounding stale. If he's got another one inside of him I'd like to hear it." Joe Hartlaub: music-reviewer.com

"For me it’s the upbeat rockers that really shine the most. These songs really show off Trappen’s passionate and oh-so-tuneful guitar playing." Stacey Board: The Muses Muse
